An ApplicationDear Sir
With due veneration
and deep contemplation
In a sick situation
I give you information
That my condition -
acute lung inflammation,
of unknown origination,
is beyond explanation.
The doctor's recommendation
is to avoid transmission,
and rest till health restoration.
So in addition ,
to prevent further aggravation
and for the mitigation,
I may be granted permission
to enjoy an intermission
of few days duration.
Though weak in constitution
yet strong in presentation
I put forth this suggestion,
of approval of my vocation,
under the consideration
of our esteemed administration.
Thus with great expectation,
and a feeling of obligation
I extend my application.
